On 20DEC 2022, the Travel Industry Council of Ontario’s (TICO’s) Board of Directors approved 43 claims against the Ontario Travel Compensation Fund totalling CAD $201,928. 28 of those claims were against Crystal Cruises, and provided 50 consumers a total of $177,227 in compensation.

That’s on top of 29 claims TICO approved against the cruise line in SEP, assisting 52 consumers, totalling $158,184. It brings the total compensation provided to Ontario Crystal Cruises customers to over $335,000.

As Open Jaw reported, the cruise line shut down in FEB 2022 due to bankruptcy. It was subsequently purchased by the same company that operates Abercrombie & Kent luxury tours.
