Royal Caribbean has announced a return to the Western Mediterranean, as Harmony of the Seas began its new season from new homeport Barcelona on 15AUG. The ship, along with the Jewel and Anthem of the Seas, will provide guests with sailings in Europe this summer.

On 15AUG, Harmony of the Seas embarked with passengers on the first of a series of seven-night cruises across the Western Mediterranean. The ship will said from Barcelona on a weekly basis from AUG to OCT 2021, visiting destinations such as Palma, Florence, Rome, Naples, and Mount Vesuvius. Those wishing to start their journey in Italy can choose to embark at Rome.

Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas combines the seven neighborhood concepts from the Oasis class, as well as a variety of cuisine options, activities, and entertainment choices.

Highlights include Ultimate Abyss slide; the zip line, located 9 decks above the Boardwalk; the FlowRider surf simulators; a Central Park with more than 20,000 natural plants; as well as the Aqua Theater, where guests can enjoy the acrobatic and underwater maneuvers of the artistic team.

Health and Safety Measures

Royal Caribbean requires all crew members and pax of legal age to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Minors can travel with a negative test and must follow other health and safety protocols.

The cruise line is continuing discussions with multiple national, state and international health authorities and local health authorities and governments around the world about various additional measures for upcoming voyages.

Regardless of the port of departure, the company will continue to follow the guidelines and recommendations of health experts. Health and safety measures will be evaluated as circumstances evolve and passengers and travel agencies will be notified of any possible changes.
