Nearing The One-Year Mark: Major Cruise Lines Extend Suspensions To MAR

As cruise companies continue to work with the CDC towards safely returning to cruising, Royal Caribbean Group, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and Carnival Cruise Line have extended their pause in operations through at least MAR 2021, which means the cruise suspension will soon approach the one-year mark. 

Royal Caribbean Group

Royal Caribbean Group paused most global sailings for Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises through 28FEB, 2021, with some sailing cancelled even further out. but some sailings are cancelled even further. Here are the details:

Royal Caribbean International:

  • Most global sailings suspended through 28FEB, 2021.
  • Australia sailings suspended through 30APR, 2021.
  • Spectrum of the Seas China sailings suspended through 20JAN, 2021.
  • Quantum of the Seas is resuming service in Singapore.

Celebrity Cruises:

  • All global sailings suspended through 28FEB, 2021.
  • South America sailings suspended through 07APR, 2021.


Silversea Cruises:

  • Suspended through 01APR, 2021, except for the 06FEB, 2021 sailing of Silver Origin.


Azamara:

  • Suspended sailings through 20MAR, 2021.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings

NCLH has extended its suspension of global cruises to include all Norwegian Cruise Line embarkations through 28FEB, and "select" voyages in MAR 2021. 

All voyages on subsidiary brands Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises embarking through 31MAR 2021 have been suspended.

Carnival Cruise Line Updates Guests On Itinerary Cancellations

Carnival Cruise Line has cancelled cruise operations from Miami, Port Canaveral and Galveston through 28FEB, and postponed the inaugural sailing of Mardi Gras until 24APR, 2021.

"We apologize to our guests but we must continue to take a thoughtful, deliberate and measured approach as we map out our return to operations in 2021,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Our commitment to the health and safety of our guests, crew and the communities we visit is at the forefront of our decisions and operations.”
