BermudAir Woos Advisors with $49 Fares and Commission Pledge

BermudAir

BermudAir is targeting Canadian travel advisors with a pledge to maintain its standard commission on economy and business class bookings.

The carrier said that means paying out 4% on all economy fares and 8% on business class bookings for Canadian travel agencies, paid at the time of ticketing. Published commissions will remain available to all Canadian agencies without the need for a preferred agreement.

The airline is also encouraging Canadian advisors to experience its products firsthand with an extremely discounted fare for advisors (and their companion) of CAD$98 round-trip or $49 one way.

"While others are reassessing their investment in the trade, we're strengthening ours," said Adam Scott, Founder and CEO of BermudAir. "Our Advisor Commission Pledge reflects our confidence in the advisor community and our commitment to growing together."

The pledge also includes continued investment in Canadian business development, account management and trade support, expanded advisor education through the Bermuda Specialist Program and BermudAir Holidays training.

As part of the announcement, the airline also highlighted the benefits of its group travel program for nine or more passengers. Advisors have access to guaranteed group fares, one complimentary checked bag per traveller in addition to a personal item and carry-on, and complimentary standard seat selection.

As the airline expands its Canadian presence, it says advisors will have “increasing opportunities to sell” destinations and packages including year-round Toronto-Bermuda, seasonal winter flights to Turks and Caicos and Anguilla, five flexible fare families, and BermudAir Holidays packages, with commission available on hotels, vacation packages and destination experiences in addition to airfare.
