Flair Airlines has set its sights on Mexico City as a desirable destination for Canadians. “For too long, flights to Mexico City have been out of reach for too many,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines.
This October, the airline will offer non-stops to Mexico City International Airport Benito Juárez (MEX) from both Vancouver (YVR) and Toronto (YYZ). The service is expected to be year-round with three flights per week starting at $260.
In an interview with BIV (Business Intelligence for B.C.) Wilk said he is not concerned with filling planes on Mexican routes.
"We have highly successful routes to Guadalajara, to Puerto Vallarta and to Cancun," he said. "We do not have problems with filling up our aircraft in and out of Mexico."
