WestJet Agent Booking Channel Opens

WestJet has announced that its travel agent booking platform, WestJet Agent Direct, is now open for registration and use by new users.

As previously reported, the original WestJet Agent platform was retired in October 2023, a move that faced criticism within the travel industry.

WestJet reintroduced the updated channel earlier this year as part of a phased rollout, but initially restricted access. Now fully open, the program includes new features for self-serve modifications and cancellations.

“We’re excited to be able to offer the WestJet Agent Direct booking platform to all our travel trade partners ahead of the new year,” said Amanda Ierfino, director of sales at WestJet. “We know our partners have been eagerly awaiting a replacement for our previous booking channel, and we sincerely appreciate their patience and understanding as we worked to deliver a tool that meets their needs.

"We look forward to welcoming new users to WestJet Agent Direct.”

Travel advisors interested in learning more about the platform can access training resources and participate in the Get on Board with WestJet Agent Direct contest through the airline’s travel agent portal.

The contest runs until 03FEB 2025, and prizes include WestJet gift cards, Extended Comfort vouchers, and prize packs.

Agents can earn unlimited bonus entries for bookings made on the platform.
