Transat has launched a training program for new travel professionals.
Dubbed the "Transat Rookie Camp," the curriculum targets advisors with less than three years of industry experience.
According to Transat, the program represents the company's dedication to cultivating talent in the travel sector.
"At Transat, we recognize the value of a well-trained travel professional and choose to invest in the development of these rookies, who we believe are essential to the collective success of the industry," said Nicole Bursey, commercial director of Transat.
"This training reflects our commitment to the agencies and our continuing desire to be a supportive partner."
Transat's commercial team has crafted a curriculum designed to be delivered directly at various destinations.
Transat and Air Transat professionals with extensive experience in their respective fields lead interactive workshops, hands-on exercises, and one-on-one mentoring sessions.
Partnerships with the following organizations "ensure that Rookie Camp participants are fully immersed in the destination and product:"
- Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts
- Barcelo Hotel Group
- Iberostar Hotels & Resorts
- Melia Hotels & Resorts
- Palladium Hotel Group
- Trafic Tours
- World of Hyatt Inclusive Collection
The first Rookie Camp, which kicked off on 04APR at Paradisus Playa del Carmen & Paradisus La Perla and runs until 11APR, will bring together 102 advisors, seven partner representatives, and eight Transat/Air Transat staff.
