Canadians looking to head south this summer will have more options.
United has announced it will strengthen its position as the largest U.S. carrier to Canada, offering the most flights to the most destinations. The airline will serve nine Canadian cities with more than 150 daily average flights between the U.S. and Canada, including the resumption of flights between YHZ and EWR, YVR and IAD/Dulles, and YWG-DEN. It also will fly ORD to YWG and ORD to YQB.
United also said it will fly larger planes between YEG and DEN and between YUL and EWR. In addition, United said it's adding more flights to YYZ, YYC and YOW.
During the pandemic, the airline saw increased demand from travellers wanting to get outdoors and explore scenic destinations like national parks and mountain towns. United said it expects the trend to continue this year and is flying its largest schedule to Alaska in the past decade.
United, of course, is an Air Canada partner and a member of the Star Alliance network.
