Grenada lovers will find visiting this lush Caribbean destination easier than ever as Air Canada announces year-round flights from Canada.

"The Grenada Tourism Authority is thrilled to kick off the new year with the announcement of year-round services in collaboration with Air Canada, marking a significant milestone in enhancing accessibility to the picturesque tri-island state of Grenada," officials said. "Travellers can now enjoy continuous connectivity from YYZ to Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND), breaking a four-year hiatus.

"Available to book now, Air Canada will operate a new summer service once per week, specifically on Saturdays, starting from April 6th, 2024, and extending through October 31st, 2024. This exciting development provides fresh opportunities for Canadians seeking warmth, adventure, and relaxation in Grenada."

The nonstop flights will depart from YYZ at 9:35 a.m. and land at GND at 3:00 p.m. The return leg from Grenada will take off at 4:00 p.m. and arrive at YYZ at 9:40 p.m.

"We are excited to introduce year-round services in partnership with Air Canada, providing Canadian travelers more access to the unspoiled beauty of Grenada," said Petra Roach, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority. "This expansion not only underscores our commitment to position Grenada as a premier vacation destination but also addresses the growing demand for tourism in our country.

"The return of year-round direct service by Air Canada to Grenada reflects a positive step in strengthening air transport relations between the airline and our nation, marking a pivotal moment in reinforcing the ties that bind our two regions."

Travellers can book now for a relaxing vacation or to enjoy some of the islands’ highly sought-after events, such as the annual Chocolate Festival in May and Spicemas in August, along with the unveiling of two new luxury hotels – Silversands Beach House and Six Senses La Sagesse.

Grenada is known for its waterfalls, hiking, beaches, and boutique accommodations. Not only can visitors check out the main island of Grenada but they also can explore the islands of Petit Martinique and Carriacou.
