Copa Airlines Announces Daily Service from Toronto and Montreal to Panama

Copa Airlines is enhancing its connectivity between Montreal and Toronto to Panama City and beyond. The carrier, headquartered in Panama City, plans to expand its flight offerings in MAR and MAY 2024. As stated in a press release, daily service will commence on 20MAY 2024.

"Copa Airlines is proud to be the leading Latin American carrier providing daily flights, as we continue to fulfill our commitment to expanding flight options and enhancing travel experiences for our passengers. The daily service will allow our passengers to take advantage of the best connections to Latin America and the Caribbean.

As Open Jaw previously reported, Panama Tourism and Copa Airlines have relaunched the ‘Stopover in Panama’ program that allows pax to visit the capital city with no additional airfare.

"When visiting Panama, passengers can also enjoy two amazing destinations without incurring any additional airfare, through our Stopover Program in Panama," said Laura Marin, Sales Manager of Copa Airlines in Canada.

"ADM Aeroports de Montreal is delighted with the expanded bilateral air agreement with Panama, which will enable our partner Copa Airlines to enhance its service to and from YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport. A vibrant Latin American country, Panama offers an exceptional gateway for tourists and business travellers through its important Hub of the Americas®, towards Central and South America and the Caribbean. With flights scheduled in off-peak time slots, Copa is also aligned with our international airport's growth strategy, which will benefit the entire community," said Yves Beauchamp, President and CEO of ADM Aéroports de Montréal.

"Copa expanding to daily service on its Toronto-Panama route will add 50% more seats over the course of the year," said Khalil Lamrabet, Chief Commercial Officer, Greater Toronto Airports Authority. "Providing increased choice and connectivity across Copa's network makes perfect sense when more than 70% of passengers are connecting onwards, many of whom are traveling to destinations that do not have direct service from Canada, such as Uruguay and Bolivia."
