Air Transat Restarts Flights to Havana

Havana, Cuba

After almost three years of forced suspension due to the pandemic, Air Transat has announced it has resumed flights to Cuba's capital.

The airline operated its first flight from YUL to HAV (TS552) the morning of 19DEC. According to Air Transat, its on-board crew and José-Martí airport staff were "thrilled to celebrate this long-awaited return," with the airline celebrating by offering traditional Cuban coffee and pastries to passengers at the boarding gate in YUL.

Air Transat notes it is the only carrier to offer two weekly direct flights from YUL to what it calls a "flagship destination" in its winter program.

The company also provides clients the opportunity to pair an urban getaway in Havana with a beach-side vacation in Varadero with Air Transat's exclusive Duo package. Departures are available from Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax, Moncton, Montréal and Quebec City for this package.

For more details, travel agents are invited to consult the flight schedule available on Agent Direct.
