Ultra-Low Cost Carrier (ULCC) Flair Airlines has begun YOW service starting 11JUN.

The ULCC will provide non-stop flights beginning this month from YOW to YYZ, YVR, YEG, YWG and YYC. In August, the schedule will grow with the addition of service eastbound to YHZ, and westbound to YLW and YXX.

“Just in time for summer, we are bringing affordable travel options with one way fares as low as $49 on several routes [to and from Ottawa],” says Garth Lund, Chief Commercial Officer of Flair Airlines. “By August, we will have two aircraft based in Ottawa and provide non-stop, low fares to eight cities.”

In addition, the first of 13 new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft for Flair began passenger service 10JUN, with more of the new aircraft joining its fleet throughout 2021.

The ULCC began taking delivery of the new aircraft in MAY. The 737-8’s are joining the ULCC’s existing fleet of 737-800 aircraft and deliveries will continue throughout 2021. By the middle of next year, Flair will have a fleet of 16 aircraft.
