The federal government has once again extended travel restrictions for all international travellers entering the country from a non-U.S. destination through 30NOV, 2020.
The separate order for the border closure between Canada and the U.S. was extended to 21NOV earlier this month.
“Our duty as a government is to protect the people of Canada and we are following the best public health guidance to make decisions regarding temporary travel restrictions, including extending the temporary border restrictions for both U.S. and international travellers,” says Bill Blair, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness.
“The limited and practical changes will continue to protect Canadians’ health and safety while removing hardships for children and for residents in remote communities impacted by the border restrictions.”
Canada initially closed its borders from 18MAR to 30JUN. Since then, travel restrictions have been extended on a monthly basis.
