Hola Sun (Caribe Sol in Quebec) has extended a lifeline to new Quebec-based carrier OWG. The two companies have signed an agreement for OWG to provide direct air service to Cuba on behalf of the operator. Hola Sun had previously blocked seats on Transat flights for their Cuba program.
“We are very excited for this new agreement,” Hugo Rocha, Sales Director with Hola Sun told Open Jaw this morning.
“We believe that this new partnership will allow us to offer very competitive rates for our vacation packages, but we will also focus on providing a high level of customer service to our customers.”
Hola Sun flights onboard OWG are expected to launch on 01NOV, 2020 from YYZ and YUL, flying to four Cuba destinations : Varadero, Cayo Coco, Holguín and Santa Clara. OWG will use the 158-passenger Boeing 737-400 for flight operations.
“Although our goal is to sell individual seats, we have never closed the door to working with tour operators,” parent company Nolinor and OWG president Marco Prud’homme said in an interview with La Presse.
“We have a great collaboration with the Caribe Sol team and we can’t wait to start our flights to Cuba. It is one of the most popular travel destinations and a good starting point for OWG.”
The new Hola Sun Holidays 2020-2021 brochure will be available on its website in mid-JUL and at travel agency branches in early SEP, says the tour operator.
