Brenda Yester, a 14 year cruise industry veteran, has been named Senior Vice President - Revenue Management for Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines.
In this capacity, Yester is responsible for overseeing all of Carnival's revenue management functions and maximizing the cruise line's overall revenue performance.
She joined Carnival in 1999 and was named Vice President in 2002.
At Carnival, Yester has built a sophisticated revenue management system, implementing a variety of complex pricing, inventory and occupancy initiatives in conjunction with her team of revenue management professionals. She plays a key role in developing and launching various pricing initiatives such as the popular Early Saver program which has been effective in optimizing the line's profitability.
"Brenda has made significant contributions to Carnival's financial performance through enhancements to the revenue management process and technologies while providing invaluable guidance in establishing our company's strategic goals," said Gerry Cahill, Carnival's president and CEO.
Prior to joining Carnival, Brenda held a variety of finance and accounting positions with Royal Caribbean Cruises and Ryder System.
She graduated cum laude from the University of Miami in 1989 with a bachelor's in business administration, specializing in finance and earned her master's in business administration from Nova University in 1995. She is a certified public accountant.
A resident of Southwest Ranches, Fla., Yester serves as board chair for the South Florida chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
