Royal Pacific Destinations Stops Taking Bookings, Winds Down Operations
Open Jaw

Just shy of its 20th anniversary, Vancouver’s Royal Pacific Destinations has announced that it has ceased taking bookings effective immediately.

The company says it will honour all existing reservations and commission payments for all bookings made up to November 30th. “Our goal is to wind this business down slowly and ensure that all consumer and travel agency bookings are fully protected,” the company announced.

RPD stated that, “after a careful business review we have decided to move in a new direction, and therefore must advise that effective December 1, 2010 Royal Pacific Destinations will NOT accept any new bookings.”

Asked about the new direction for company management, inside sales representative Laura Di Giovanni told Open Jaw: “Well, the company is slowly winding down and will close officially sometime next year. Staff will still be in the office and can be reached on the same line/and e-mail. We are here to help with any existing bookings only and not taking on any new bookings.”

The Royal Pacific website indicates that the company had recently refocused its business as an airline consolidator, offering an international net airfare program through an online booking engine.

Agents with question regarding an existing reservation or commission are advised to contact 604-685-5558 or toll-free 1-800-718-8857.
