Tentative Deal Averts Strike At British Airports

U.K. union Unite will recommend that 6,000 airport workers accept a ‘much improved’ pay offer from the British Airports Authority. The rejection of an earlier offer had raised the spectre of strikes closing major U.K. airports during the tail end of the peak transatlantic travel season. A strike is now highly unlikely.
