WestJet has announced that Duncan Bureau, their Vice President of Sales, will be relocating to Toronto effective August 1st in order to have a senior sales presence in eastern Canada to enhance the airline’s support for the travel trade and the corporate market.
“Since he joined WestJet in April 2002, Duncan Bureau and his team have worked tirelessly to grow our relationships with the travel trade and corporate Canada,” said Bob Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “With WestJet’s continued expansion into the business and corporate markets, this move reflects how much WestJet values the travel trade and our corporate relationships in Central Canada. By having Duncan Bureau in Ontario, we will be better able to nurture these relationships for our mutual success.”
Bureau had this to say about his move, “I’m a huge BlueJays fan, so really looking forward to the move. You can count on me to be cheering on fellow ex-Calgarian Dion Phaneuf too. And, it gives me full time access to the Pink Couch, which is a proven career enhancer.”
