WestJet today has launched its new seasonal non-stop service between Toronto and Samana, the carrier's 4th destination in the Dominican Republic. The inaugural flight departed Toronto's Pearson International Airport at 10 a.m. Sunday.

"The gorgeous blend of white, sandy coastline and lush rainforests provide ample opportunity to see the local beauty and culture of the Samana area. The popularity of the Dominican Republic is soaring with the addition of destinations to our ever-expanding Caribbean network, in combination with WestJet Vacations' reputation for offering low-cost, high-value vacation packages."
