Norwegian Cruise Line has announced it has standardized its stateroom categories across the fleet effective for new bookings from April 2011 and beyond. The inventory with new categorization will open for booking during the first quarter of 2010, and should make it easier for travel partners and guests to locate specialty staterooms including aft-facing balconies and mini-suites; multi-occupancy family accommodations and those staterooms which allow private Courtyard access. Existing bookings only on Pride of America will be reprocessed.
The primary stateroom categories will now include Suites (S), Mini-suites (M), Balconies (B), Oceanviews (O), Insides (I) and Studios (T - on Norwegian Epic). Each primary stateroom category letter is now either followed by a number to note it as a specialty stateroom, i.e. a B1 is an aft-facing Balcony; or with a letter to note it as a standard stateroom, i.e. a BA is a mid-ship Balcony.
Travel partners should receive deck plans with the new categorization by the start of the New Year.
