ACTA Provides Incentive For Industry Certification
Open Jaw

ACTA, in conjunction with CITC, has announced an incentive program to encourage ACTA members to pursue the benefits of industry certification, leading to the CTC(Certified Travel Counsellor) designation or the CTM (Certified Travel Manager) designation.

Through a special fund dedicated to promoting certification, ACTA members who register for a Certification Package and complete it by December 31, 2009 will be entitled to a $50.00 reduction in the cost of the package.  As the funds are limited, the program will be available on a first come, first served basis.

David McCaig, ACTA's President and Chief Operating Officer noted that ACTA has always supported industry certification but decided to intensify their efforts at promoting education in the industry.  "ACTA's goal in this campaign is to help drive business to ACTA members.  We are doing this in two ways:  Firstly by ensuring that ACTA members are amongst the most qualified in the industry, based on passing the national industry standards for certification. Secondly, by ensuring that when consumers are looking for travel counsel and advice, that they will automatically choose a Certified travel professional to fulfill their needs.'
