The Travel Industry Corporation of Ontario has approved payment of $39,361.74 as compensation to 31 consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid. These payments were due to the closure of Caravan 4U Travel in Mississauga ($28,860.00); College Travel Centre in Toronto ($9,675.00) and Zoom Airlines in Ottawa ($826.74).

The Board also denied one claim on the basis that it did not meet the requirements for an eligible travel wholesaler claim against the Compensation Fund as set out in section 59 of Ontario Regulation 26/05.
