‘First-class’ designer handbag brand Louis Vuitton has released a new plane-shaped bag, and its price seems to have reached new altitudes.
The aviation-inspired men’s bag is part of the Fall/Winter 2021 collection, and sells for $39,000 USD.
That’s more than a small plane, which someone pointed out on Twitter, proving that a plane would be cheaper by $7,000 – with a 1968 Cessna single engine aircraft available for $32,300:

For that much money, you should be able to fly the bag!
The aviation creation was designed by Virgil Abloh, who has been the artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear since 2018 and is also the chief executive officer of his own fashion house, Off-White.
It features Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram pattern and is shaped like an airplane, complete with wings, engines, a tail and a nose, as seen on the brand’s Instagram:
Com-plane-ly impractical.
As explained in GQ, the collection is meant to explore male archetypes and redefine the "male" uniform with his own take on suits, military jackets, and even cowboy hats.
No doubt a work of art, the popularity of these bags doesn’t look like it will be taking off.
