Bahia Principe properties now operate under two distinct concepts: Escape, representing adults-only resorts, and Explore, the family-friendly portfolio.
The neighbouring family resort—previously Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica—is now Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica and is slated to reopen 01DEC, 2026, following a complete top-to-bottom renovation. Now, when they see Bahia Principe connected to that, it gives them a lot more confidence in what they’re booking,” says Perez. “In the Canadian market, they’ve known Bahia Principe for a long time. Now, they’re taking another look at us with a different perspective.”

Hurricane Melissa caused moderate, primarily cosmetic damage across the property. Everything has since been repaired, with the closure also allowing for select updates to common areas and dining spaces. The lobby terrace, in particular, has been extended and redecorated with a more open, contemporary feel that enhances the sense of arrival.
The colonial-style property combines Victorian architecture with a soft, neutral palette. Accommodations are spacious, each with a private balcony or terrace. In-room features include hydromassage bathtubs, 24-hour room service, and nightly turndown service.
