The adults-only (16+) property reflects Grupo Xcaret’s storied reputation for integrating rich cultural experiences with nature’s beauty in eco-conscious ways. Having opened in DEC 2021, La Casa de la Playa is the brand’s first boutique property.

The centrepiece of La Casa de la Playa is its Exclusively Your Way concept, a personalized luxury experience that combines the best of a home with the best of a resort. “The Exclusively Your Way concept was born through an effort to give clients the freedom to wander the property at any time of day – and when I say ‘at any time’, I mean at any time. It targets a very specific niche and a very specific market segment,” says Dinorah Tobon Hampshire, Director of Leisure Sales – North America & Europe, Hoteles Xcaret.

“The target market is a high-end clientele looking for personalized service, but who wants to have a sense of place. This high-end client might be looking to upgrade their getaway with a significant other, or it could be a group of girls that want to have the best service and enjoy themselves and reconnect through our service, history, and culture.”

At La Casa de la Playa, it’s not about being the best in the world, but being the best for the world of each guest.

“It’s a very innovative concept for the company itself, but also as a product for the client or consumer. The owner of Grupo Xcaret wanted to create a concept that has the endorsement of the eco-parks and sister properties – which have already gained a reputation in the hospitality industry – and have La Casa de la Playa be the pinnacle of the three hotels,” Tobon Hampshire adds.

Tailor-Made Experiences

Casa guests have access to the restaurants, activities, workshops, and all facilities of its sister hotels, Hotel Xcaret Arte and Hotel Xcaret Mexico (but not the other way around) and unlimited access to Grupo Xcaret’s Xailing experience and eight eco-parks – Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xavage, Xoximilco, Xenses and Xenotes.

To further distinguish La Casa de la Playa from its sister properties, the brand introduced an exclusive perk for its clients: private and personalized experiences directly within the Xcaret parks.

“Being a very different property, clients of La Casa de la Playa may not be looking to enjoy a different park every single day – they may want to enjoy the property, their gorgeous suites, and the essence of these beautiful venues that are open 24/7,” Tobon Hampshire says. “Hence, in order to offer something different from the sister properties, we provide private experiences at the parks for our clients staying at La Casa de la Playa.”

These experiences can include, for example, a private dinner in a cenote, a Mayan cleansing ritual, a guided caving tour, and many other unique activities exclusive to guests of La Casa de la Playa. Guests also get private transfers to the Xcaret parks, special fast-track entrance, and other perks.

A Home with a Mexican Soul

Wellness Suite

La Casa de la Playa pampers its guests from the moment they arrive. With round-trip airport transportation in luxury vehicles, visitors are whisked away to a coastal paradise boasting butler service, sensorial spaces, and dining experiences headed by acclaimed chefs.

The 63 suites are a destination unto themselves – all oceanfront and all with a private terrace and a private heated pool. Suites feature volcanic stone bathtubs, double rain showers, and a jellyfish habitat aquarium, with the smallest suite occupying an expansive 1,000 square feet. Divided into three casas – Natural, Fiesta and Wellness – the suites each have their own personality and feature handmade details crafted by Mexican artisans to create a cozy, home away from home experience.

There are four restaurants on the property, all à la carte and part of the all-inclusive package, as well as three bars. Celebrity chefs bring Mexican gastronomy to life, with each menu focusing on the flavours of a specific region of Mexico. Just like at home, guests also have the option of 24/7 in-room dining.

La Chocolatería

Four of the property’s specialty venues are open 24/7, including La Chocolateria, which` Tobon Hampshire highlights as her favourite space at La Casa de la Playa. Curated by Mexican master chocolatier, Mao Montiel, it features an array of chocolate options, for whenever the sugar cravings hit.

Oenophiles will love exploring the wine cellar under the guidance of a professional sommelier. The cava features over 25 labels of local, small-batch Mexican wine, in addition to French and Italian wines.

“This is great added value especially for our foreign clients because they’ll taste wines that they wouldn’t find back home or anywhere else in the world but within Mexico and in very specific hotels or stores,” Tobon Hampshire says. “It’s a very special place where you can enjoy a glass of wine with your significant other or with your friends in the small, cozy living room, but you also have the freedom to take a bottle back to your room and enjoy it there.”

Mexico’s best spirits can be sampled and savoured at La Bodega tequila and mezcal bar, serving small-batch spirits from towns within Mexico that you wouldn’t find anywhere else unless you go to that little town.
