For your clients looking to live and breathe Mexican culture, there’s Hotel Xcaret Arte. It’s where the essence of Mexico infuses every aspect of the stay, from locally-made artwork and furnishings to enriching workshops, and dynamic culinary offerings that convey Mexico’s past and present.
The adults-only (16+) property, which opened in JUL 2021, invites guests to explore the creative soul of Mexico and celebrate the destination in all its forms.
All-Fun Inclusive: A Ticket to Endless Adventure
Hotel Xcaret Arte’s All-Fun Inclusive program isn’t just about unlimited food and drink – it’s about unlimited experiences. Guests have unlimited access to all of Grupo Xcaret’s iconic eco-parks, where zip-lining, river rafting, and cenote swimming are just the tip of the iceberg. With transportation covered and park admissions included, the only thing your clients will need to plan is their energy level.
The All-Fun Inclusive concept also includes the new Xailing experience, introduced by Grupo Xcaret two years ago. With Xailing, clients can take an Xcaret-owned ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel or from Cancun to Isla Mujeres, allowing them to explore more of Mexico.
“These islands are very popular within the Riviera Maya. Clients can spend the day on the islands and then take the ferry back to their hotel. As of today, we don’t have experiences at the islands but eventually, it’s in the plans that we’ll have something really great there,” says Dinorah Tobon Hampshire, Director of Leisure Sales – North America & Europe, Hoteles Xcaret.
There’s also a catamaran experience leaving right from the marina at Casa de la Playa, where clients can choose from a Xunset Lovers romantic voyage or a lively Xunset Party.
Where Art Meets Heart
The look, feel, and taste of Authentic Mexico are around every corner at Hotel Xcaret Arte. Its 900 suites pay tribute to Mexican artistry and textiles, featuring unique touches like local artwork, premium organic amenities, volcanic stone tubs on the terrace, and traditional Mexican hammocks on the balcony.
Grupo Xcaret’s distinctive casa concept is woven into each of its properties, dividing the accommodations into thematic houses celebrating a unique aspect of Mexico’s heritage, arts, or natural beauty.
At Hotel Xcaret Arte, its six casas are dedicated to various forms of Mexican art – and this dedication isn’t just thematic, but integral to the guest experience, with workshops and curated experiences reflective of each casa’s focus.
Casa de los Artistas (18+), for instance, encapsulates the essence of visual art and has painting workshops. Casa de la Música celebrates the rhythms and sounds of Mexico with a Latin dance workshop. There’s also Casa del Diseño (textile workshop), Casa de la Pirámide (pottery workshop with amazing views of the Xpiral pyramid), Casa de la Paz (housing the library), and Casa del Patrón (featuring the convention centres and restaurants).
“We wanted to make sure clients are even closer to Mexican art by providing workshops. For example, it’s a very different experience to buy a tequila shot glass at the airport versus making your own at Hotel Xcaret Arte. You’re able to make it on your own and take it home as a souvenir,” Tobon Hampshire says.
Hotel Xcaret Arte also elevates gastronomy to an art form, offering guests a gourmet journey through 10 exquisite dining experiences led by acclaimed chefs.
Just get a taste of these samples: Encanta is a noteworthy eatery by Michelin Chef Paco Méndez, serving flavours from Barcelona to the Caribbean. There’s also Kibi-Kibi, a fusion of tastes from the Yucatan and Lebanon under the care of the internationally famous Chef Roberto Solis. Contemporary Japanese gastronomy is served at Chef Luis Arzapalo’s Tah-Xido, and Apapachoa serves 100% plant-based cuisine.
The Art of Selling Xcaret
Travel advisors play a crucial role in spreading the word about each of Grupo Xcaret’s properties, serving as key ambassadors for the brand’s visibility and success, says Tobon Hampshire. The secret to selling the brand lies in the travel advisors’ ability to underscore the unique value of Grupo Xcaret’s offerings.
“My recommendation is to build up on the value of a stay, especially the value of the experience. Nowadays, I feel that you choose a place because of how it will make you feel, not what you will get. At any of our three properties, you will always feel the joy of Mexico and like you’re part of something bigger than yourself. There’s a culture behind it, and this is what I would start with explaining to a client,” Tobon Hampshire says.
“That’s the reason why the travel advisor position is so valuable,” she notes, “because they need to understand and know their clients so they can match the perfect property.”
