Nickelodeon: The Ultimate Experiential Resort

A World of Fun in The D.R. and Mexico

Marisol Calderon, Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, Canada, for Karisma, describes the Nickelodeon brand as 5-star experiential resorts that provide an ultimate vacation experience.

“Kids can meet their favourite characters like Blue from Blue’s Clues & You, Dora and Boots from Dora the Explorer, Diego from Go Diego Go and so many more” says Shannon Cunningham, Manager Leisure Sales at WestJet Vacations.

In Mexico, there’s the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya which Calderon says offers 5-star delights for the whole family, with 280 suites, six restaurants, three bars, an oceanfront pool and a spa.

“Your clients will go on an unrivalled culinary journey featuring the freshest and finest ingredients. Suites offer playful touches and original Nickelodeon art,” Calderon said. “All suites have the option to connect for larger parties and they feature either swim-up or balcony swim-up pool options. The ground floor swim-up suites feature direct access to the resort’s swimming pool.”

Calderon said she highly recommends the Signature Suites.

For example, the Lair Suite has a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme, making it the perfect spot to throw a private pizza party while celebrating the antics of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello.

The Pineapple Suite is inspired by SpongeBob’s pineapple under the sea. The moment clients arrive, they’re immersed in SpongeBob’s world.

The Big Kahuna Suite is a tribute to the history of Nickelodeon animation.

If that’s not enough to get kids excited, there’s a sprawling six-acre Nickelodeon themed water park called Aqua Nick which is home to over 500 meters of adventure and lazy rivers, surrounded by tropical gardens. Calderon said there are more than 20 slides, an activity pool with scheduled water activities, a PAW Patrol Adventure Bay with slides for the little ones, and more.

In the Dominican Republic, the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana is just as incredible as its Mexico counterpart, WestJet Vacations’ Cunningham said.

The resort has a variety of swim-up suites, including one that has a spacious, wraparound pool.

According to Calderon, “It’s slightly larger, with 460 suites, nine restaurants, three bars, four pools, a spa and the famed Aqua Nick Waterpark. It has the same fun characters and incredible restaurants. Truly ideal for a family escape.”

There’s a choice of four exclusive Super Villas including the Pineapple, inspired by SpongeBob Square Pants’ own home. All suites feature indulgences like private patios, wrap-around terraces or balconies.

With the Karisma Gourmet Inclusive dining experience, guests can sip on a caramel coffee latte or take a bite out of BRGRS.PH, “which takes the humble hamburger to a whole new level,” Calderon said.

The Machete Burger is built for the whole family and there’s even a vegetarian lentil burger.

The Punta Cana property’s Aqua Nick water park has slides, spray grounds, splash pads and a lazy river.

Le Spatula Restaurant

Character Central allows guests to meet their favourite Nickelodeon characters throughout the day in a high-energy entertainment location which also offers private meet and greet or a birthday party to remember.

The resort’s littlest guests can relax and play in their brand-new Baby Zone, a comprehensive nursery area designed just for babies and toddlers. It’s supervised by an experienced Super Nanny-certified childcare team.

Both Nickelodeon resorts have a CLUB NICK that’s part clubhouse, part art studio. There’s a mega ball pit, a two-story slide, a daily schedule of themed activities based on Nickelodeon characters, and a whole lot of do-it-yourself Nickelodeon fun, from arts-and-craft classes and science experiments to cooking sessions and mini theatre performances.

When it’s time to spring into action, there’s an incredible Sports Hub with indoor and outdoor fun for all ages. This clubhouse and entertainment complex features two tennis courts, a multi-use sports court, a running track, archery, giant chess, soccer, ping pong, a football court, and more.

After all that activity, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana takes guests from laughter to luxury at its 14,000-sq.-ft. Vassa Spa. The large facility includes a herbal steam room, dry sauna, chromo therapy showers, bubble beds and whirlpool.

In Mexico, the Náay Spa services find inspiration from the history of Riviera Maya, adhering to ancient Mayan principles of balancing Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water to deliver restorative treatments in an environment that features traditional Mayan design.
