“To be honest, I have never had a complaint or had to reply to a complaint about the food experience,” confides Dai Jimenez, Regional Sales Marketing Manager at Catalonia Hotels & Resorts.
The Gran Caribe Buffet welcomes all guests for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with varied options of international cuisine and local food. It also features a wood-fired pizza oven, a showcooking area, and an exclusive area for Privileged customers.
The themed restaurants indulge with their own unique culinary experience. There’s everything from Grill, which appeases the steak crowd, while Bo, short for Barcelona Origens, specializes in vegetarian cuisine. Be sure to make a reservation at Ayami if it’s Asian specialties and Teppanyaki you’re in a mood for, and Toscana for Italian.
For a more casual affair, several on-site food trucks are the perfect pit stop for snacks, fish & chips, ice cream rolls, nd other grab-and-go nibbles.
And there is always time to indulge. For a treat, head over to the Creperie to enjoy a delicious savoury or sweet crepe or Aromes Coffee to revive with an espressos, macchiato, cappuccinos, tea, or delicious desserts.
The BLoved restaurant, available exclusively for guests staying in the Privileged category, serves a fusion cuisine of Mediterranean and Caribbean flavours for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on à -la-carte service.
BLoved happens to be Jimenez’s favourite eatery.
“I love the ideas that come from the menu. For example, they have these quinoa bowls that are packed with veggies, but you can also ask for a protein option. They also have this tuna–O-M-G! It is just delicious,” he raves.
“There’s the perfect balance in the fusion of the flavours–a little spicy, a little bit of zest, but it never goes in a way that you are not enjoying it.”
The swanky Pure Chill Out Bar, a beachfront bar and lounge area, is another exclusive dining and drink area for Privilege guests.
Culinary stations along the on-site Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) complex allow guests to enjoy a casual evening filled with delicious international flavors from Mexican, Peruvian, Italian, Asian and American cuisines.
Tequila sunset, anyone? Guests can gather on one of the terraces to savour food with a view. Quinta Avenida even has specialty restaurants that aren’t part of the all-inclusive experience, like Memories, a restaurant serving a fusion sampling menu with Catalan flavours.
