Where were you born?
How long have you worked in the travel industry?
8 years. I started my career as a Business Analyst in the Telecom industry 15 years ago before switching to the Tourism industry in 2013, when I joined Club Med with a lot of Happiness. I began in Paris, as head of Guest Relations, and was then in charge of the E-business transformation. Our goal was to offer an immersive sales experience. In October 2020, I joined the Canadian team in Montreal and I now lead Club Med Canada.
What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is the emotion we can offer to our customers. There is no better reward! We are selling more than just vacations, we are selling a transformative experience and happiness. At Club Med, our customers create ever-lasting memories for them and their loved ones. This is a privilege.
What job would you be terrible at?
A circus artist, my suppleness is terrible.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
A circus artist. No, I wanted to be a pilot, discovering every corner of the planet.
What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
Probably running at dawn, in the Rockies, alongside the river on a single track and running into a bear. Within a 20 meter distance, we looked eye to eye for 30 seconds (feels like forever) then he left.
Any guilty pleasures?
Pranks! I love telling stories that you can’t figure out whether it’s real or not.
What’s your favourite airline?
Any, I admire the customer service standard of the airlines. Their staff is so devoted, they are often the first responder when natural disasters occur, or bring food and medicine across the world.
Window or aisle seat?
Aisle, definitely, I like the freedom to decide when I want to move.
What is the one “must-have” in your suitcase?
My running shoes! But I always have my party suit next.
What’s on your music playlist?
My kids’ playlist, mandatory every morning listening when I take my children to school. But also the summer Club Med playlist with pop, rock and electro: looking forward to being back in a Club Med resort with my friends and family.
What’s something not many people know about you?
I ran an ultra-trail running, more than 160 km, 10,000 m of elevation gain across the beautiful Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. One of the most difficult runs of the kind, but certainly one the most beautiful and popular. #TransformativeExperience
If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?
Even if we are in the middle of a worldwide crisis, I like living in the present moment. I want to make the most of it and start building the future.
When were you happiest?
Tomorrow? The best is yet to come!
What would you tell your 20-year-old self?
20 is just a beginning, and travelling across the world will bring you lasting memories with your loved ones. It will make you grow, make you live a 1000 of lives, take your chance.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
My next friends & family Canadian road trip : mountain, sport and camp fire.
Anything you won’t eat?
I avoid every industrially produced food to support small local farmers that are producing quality products.
If you could change one thing about the industry, what would it be?
The overcrowded tourism impacting our Heritage Sites.
If you could sit next to anyone on a long-haul flight (and stay awake!) who would it be?
Have you picked up any hobbies during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Yes, teaching since April of last year when we started the home-schooling. It has been very tough, but I feel grateful to have had to spend time with my kids and teach them by myself; it’s a privilege to share these unique moments together. In a way, it’s a kind of like a travel experience, creating lasting memories and many more.
When and where was the last place you travelled?
Quebec Charlevoix, one month ago for an amazing waterfront Spring ski session.
What will be the biggest challenge for the industry in the next 12 months?
Resilience, restoring the confidence in Travel of each and every person and, of course, staying Safe Together. I am really looking forward to re-building our industry alongside our partners and colleagues and to sending our customers back to our amazing destinations.
